After authentication, you'll be connected with a notary through a two-way video call. Follow the notary’s instructions to complete your notarization correctly.
4Pay & Download
When the notary is finished, you’ll be redirected to a payment page. Add your payment information to receive access to your completed notarized documents.
Advanced Room Setup for Multiple Signers
Setting up a virtual notary session with multiple signers is simple and efficient using our platform. Follow these steps to get started:
- Create Your Free Account: If you haven't already, create a free account. This will make managing your documents and scheduling sessions much easier.
- Upload Your Document: Once logged in, navigate to the “Schedule” tab in your dashboard. Upload the PDF document that needs to be notarized. Our system will automatically generate a unique link that you can share with each signer.
- Coordinate with Signers: Send the generated link to the other signers and coordinate a time for everyone to join the session simultaneously, similar to how you would with Zoom.
- Join the Waiting Room: At the agreed time, everyone will join the virtual waiting room using the shared link. One of our on-demand notaries will pick up the request as soon as everyone is present.
- Recommended Times: For the fastest response, we recommend scheduling your session during our peak availability times: Monday to Friday, 7am – 7pm PST.

Do I need a webcam?
Yes, you'll need a camera and microphone on your device to electronically notarize. We recommend using
your computer, but you can use your phone if you don't have access to a computer with a webcam.
What is the notarization process like?
The notarization process is completed 100% online through our website. Make sure you have a working
webcam, and then upload your documents to start the notary process.
You’ll be asked to
authenticate your identity, so have a government ID ready. We’ll ask for a picture of the ID and for you
to answer some knowledge-based questions. As soon as you’ve passed, you’ll be connected with a certified
notary.
My documents need more than one signer/witness. Can I add multiple people?
After you've uploaded your document, you'll be asked to add the names of all the signers who will join the
video session.
For any additional signers you add, you can select whether they will be sharing
a device with you or if they will be using a separate device. If using a separate device, the additional
signers will receive an email with an invitation link to join the session. Make sure they're ready to
notarize at the same time as you.

How do I download the documents?
When the session finishes, you'll be taken to a payment page. Enter your payment information, and your
notarized documents will be ready to download on the next page.
Is online notarization legal?
Yes, online notarization is legally recognized and accepted in all 50 states, meeting the same legal standards as in-person notarization. Be sure to check your state's specific laws for compliance.
What types of documents can be notarized online?
Most documents can be notarized online, including affidavits, powers of attorney, contracts, and real estate documents. However, some states may have restrictions, so it's best to verify before starting the process.
How long does the entire notarization process take?
The average online notarization session takes about 10 to 15 minutes from start to finish, depending on the document and the number of signers involved.
Can I notarize documents for someone outside the U.S.?
Yes, U.S. citizens and non-U.S. citizens can both use our online notarization service from anywhere in the world. You just need an internet connection and a valid ID.
